The project “Improvement of teachers’ ICT competencies in the Complex of Public Schools in Zalesie Górne” has been initiated by the school head teacher and the staff who want to develop their skills, improve the quality of their performance and educational capacity of their school. The target group of the project are the teachers of the Primary SchoolThe project is a response to the need of constant professional development of the staff and improvement of the quality of teaching in the Complex of Public Schools in Zalesie Górne which has recently moved to a new building, well equipped with modern multimedia facilities and which has to work in times marked by the quick progress of ICT. The main aims of the projects include: • teachers' professional development in the field of ICT, • international cooperation , • improvement of the teachers’ command of English• exchange of experience and good practice among European teachers.The project will allow 10 teachers from The Complex of Public Schools in Zalesie Górne to participate in the following ICT trainings:A1.1 - "Go IWB! – Interactive Teaching and Learning on the Interactive White Board" – St. Paul’s Bay in Malta – 2 peopleA1.2 - "ICT for Collaborative Project Based Teaching and Learning" - Pembroke in Malta – 2 people. A1.3 - “Innovative Skills in ICT through Collaborative and Project-based Teaching and Learning” - Madrid in Spain – 2 people.A1.4 - "Mobile Devices In Education" Lisbon in Portugal – 1 person.A1.5 - "Creative Learning and Teaching Using ICT and the Cultural Environment " Rhodos Island in Greece - 1 personA1.6 - "Moodle – Teaching and Learning Tool” - Katerini in Greece - 1 personA1.7- „Making the Most of the New Technologies and Social media in the Classroom” Palermo in Italy - 1 person The expected results of the project have been divided into hard and soft ones The most important soft results, which should improve the quality of the school’s education, are as follows: • expanding and reinforcing the professional ICT qualifications of the project participants;• improving the participants’ language skills;• expanding the participants’ experience necessary to achieve the highest level of proficiency in teaching• breaking cultural barriers;• personal development of the project participants• finding new teaching methods;• getting new ideas on modern school and its work;• meeting teachers from other countries and starting cooperation with them - creating a worldwide network of contacts.• developing the feeling of European citizenship. The hard results of the project are as follows:• completing the scheduled 10 hours of preparatory English classes;• completing training courses in foreign countries - by all participants • establishing cooperation of schools and institutions from different European countries;• acquiring - by all the participants of the project - the certificate of completion of the training course, signed by the project partner;• acquiring a Europass – Mobility documents informing about an accomplished foreign mobility - by all the participants of the project • acquiring project certificates issued by a beneficiary • introducing new teachers to the e-Twinning platform;• making special presentations for other teachers in Gimnazjum (lower-secondary school) and Primary School in Zalesie Górne in order to popularize new professional knowledge, experience and skills.• preparing a training workshop on “ICT Tools and Methods” for teachers form other schools.The project will also bring tangible effects – products:• photographs and films taken during the accomplishment of the project, documenting its process;• lessons plans using the new ICT Methods• individual reports on the mobilities• presentations and articles about the project;• materials acquired due to the evaluation of the project;• final report.The above project implementing teachers mobilities will help achieve the strategic objectives of the Erasmus+ project including school educational priorities ( among others strengthening teacher’s professional profile and supporting the teaching based on ICT methods)..
