Non profit organization Centaurus, o.z. was founded in December 2008. Centaurus, o.z. considering development and promotion of our region organizes activities dedicated to culture, history and environment. Project “In the footsteps of history” will take place on farm, which is remote 2km from the village Železná Breznica in Slovakia. It is situated in privateness, in beautiful mountainous, unspotted surrounding. Farm, which was built in 1997, is composed of main building and another farm objects, the main building is reconstructed with modern equipment. In this time we have 20 horses in farm. Project will take 24 months and we are looking for 7 volunteers for long term EVS. Volunteer activities will be focused on improving skills in traditional crafts and technologies, in environmental protection and in filmmaking and organizing cultural events. Main activities are focused to prepare complex, scenes and props to production of historical movie. Cooperation and new experiences gained in different countries can lead young people to mutual understanding with others and also to the re-evaluation of their own personal judgements. Such cooperation is at the same time a great contribution to our project as well as unforgettable experience for young volunteers and also our organization.
