Planning for Change: Project Planning in Conflict

The project “Planning for Change: Project Planning in Conflict Transformation” will gather 24 project managers, project advisers and peace educators from Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, Italy, Germany, Croatia and Turkey in Kichevo (Macedonia) for 7 working days in May 2013.The training aims to promote a conflict sensitive approach to project planning and implementation. Based on a detailed context analysis and a carefully elaborated project design, the participants will be encouraged to develop peace-building initiatives for local community conflicts in post-war settings in South East Europe and for community conflicts based on racial or religious discrimination in Europe by aiming parallel at the inclusion of young people in those processes of conflict transformation.By means of non-formal education conflict transformation and youth participation will be put in a common context to highlight the opportunity for young people to take an active role in transforming current social, political or cultural conflicts.The First Children's Embassy in the World Megjashi as the applicant organisation will host the project.
