The beauty and perfection of Bulgarian nature are incredible meeting point for the goals of the project "Mountain assistants in action." Young people from Europe will be gather at the foot of the Lozen mountain by the desire of learning, communicating and helping.Over 16 weeks the representatives of voluntary organizations established in Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia and Poland will assist children and young people to take part in sport events and to acquire valuable knowledge and skills to rock climbing, volunteering activities, provide first aid, to deal with natural disasters as floods and fires, as also camp installations and equipment. Help and assistance in the project would be assure by: Association of European Rovers in Bulgaria; ProAtlântico – Associação Juvenil - Португалия; Fundació Catalunya Voluntària - Spain; A.D.E.L. - Association for Development, Education and Labour - Slovakia; Stowarzyszenie "Szansa dla Kazdego" - Poland.During the two most active and dynamic tourist days of the week (Saturday and Sunday), the young mountain assistants will be equipped with bicycles as to quickly move and help the tourists to find the right way through Lozen mountain while acquire knowledge about the Bulgarian flora and fauna. Within the project, guests from Europe will be acquainted with Bulgarian traditions, language and culture. Intensive language courses will be especially organized for the volunteers. As a consequence, the representatives of Bulgaria will gain invaluable experience of working in conjunction with an international team of volunteers and the implementation of activities like bicycle patrols. Each mountain assistants and guest of the eco-center will acquire habits for life and outdoor activities that develop physical and motor culture.With the implementation of the project it is expected to increase interest in Lozen and Vitosha mountains, which will be achieved by providing detailed information on all tourist attractions, historical and natural features of the area. It is expected that the project will arise the interest in local and regional level by the participation of foreigners interested in the beauty of nature and the desire to protect it. The using of the velopatrols is going to have impact on the limited practice, knowledge and information about the community. On national and European level, we are confident that the project could help to promote the values of the voluntary and would be an example for new ideas about future initiatives and projects, as to discover out beautiful nature in front of out foreign participants and increasing ot the foreign tourist interest, which will develope additionally our mountain tourism.
