The PINKWINDOWS NET project will establish a European network of Guidance and Counselling Services aimed particularly at women. To achieve this objective, the project will both develop and transfer existing guidance methods and tools, will create a network of existing information and guidance services, and will promote innovative guidance activities in order to establish new approaches towards the labour market insertion (or re-insertion) of women. End project results will comprise guidelines on the key methodological approaches and the primary characteristics of guidance services targeted at women; a handbook relating to the management of such services; an interactive portal for use by both operators and users and the results of a pilot phase undertaken in the participating partner countries. The project is targeted at all professionals working in public or private guidance and counselling services, decision and policy makers, and in particular, older women considering entry or re-entry to the labour market. Dissemination will be ongoing throughout the project lifetime and will rely upon the publication of information materials, the promotion of local initiatives and the use of existing partner networks.
