Young people in Croatia, as well as in European union are faced with many challenges regarding their transition from schooling to labor market. They are showing mistrust towards political systems and cynicism towards active participation. We believe that project Perpetuum Mobile is responding to their needs to act as empowered and informed citizens.Project objectives:1. To empower young people for successful employability and better integration into society by developing key competencies and "soft" skills, with particular emphasis on social and communication skills2. To strengthen civil society organizations working with international volunteers. Successful networking and maintaining partnership building;3. To encourage positive social change in the community by promoting the values of volunteering and intercultural dialogue;4. Encouraging young people to took part in international mobility by promoting Erasmus + and the European Voluntary Service.The main activity of the project is a nine months long-term mobility for a two volunteers (from Ukraine and Latvia). Both volunteers are with fewer opportunities due to economic and social difficulties. They have clearly expressed learning need in the field of communication, youth work and project management and believe that this will increase their chances for successful employment.The project activities are the following:- Work in the Youth Info-center Pula - online and offline information and consultation of users, creating informative multimedia content, journalist work for the magazine 3ska !!! and portal www.mladipula.org, writing project proposals in the area of youth mobility;- Educational and promotional activities - promotion of educational activities for young people;- Festival of mobility - assistance in the organization and implementation of a one-day event that promotes mobility in the broadest sense;- Personal event - the organization and implementation of non-profit event intended for the empowerment of local communities.Working methods are learning by doing, informal and non- formal learning, experiential learning.We expect that the project will results in gained skills and competencies for the participants and their increased employability. For organizations involved, the project will result in organizational and program development and better networking on the international level. Final beneficiaries will be more informed and empowered for active participation in the local community and participation in international mobility.We expect that the project will contribute to long-term changes in the attitudes of young people in terms of educational and cultural mobility, contribute to a better understanding of the European peoples and cultures and the spread of European values.
