Through the mobility of students and teachers / staff members, the project Perpetuum mobile contributes to international connection of education with the labour market and increases the quality of vocational education in the transport and logistics sector. The consortium consists of three home institutions: Road Traffic School in Zagreb, Mechanical Engineering and Traffic School in Varaždin and Vocational School in Čakovec. Through the project they are associated with four foreign partners: KWVD from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Tampere Vocational College Tredu and South Savo Vocational College in Finland and School Centre Celje in Slovenia.
The project objectives are defined at three levels: personal, school and international.
On a personal level of students, teachers and staff the objectives are: acquiring and enhancing professional, linguistic and personal competencies.
At the school level, the objectives are: to increase the quality of teaching and the quality of the implementation of projects with a focus on validation and recognition of acquired competences abroad and better links between schools.
At the international level, the objectives are: the internationalization of institutions by connecting the education sector and the labour market.
72 students and 21 teachers/ staff members from all three schools participate in this mobility equally. Participants are from the transport and logistics sector; vocations logistics and freight forwarding technician, road traffic technician and motor vehicle driver. In addition to vocational teachers, teachers / staff members are involved in the organization of mobility take part in the project.
The project pays particular attention to:
- Providing information and guidance to all interested parties in order to provide equal application and participation opportunities.
- Development of quality study plans at vocational training / skill improvement, which will be adapted to the needs of participants, and coordinated and agreed between the home institution, host partners and the participants through the Memorandum of Understanding and Learning Agreement.
- Good preparation of all participants to take part in mobility that will contribute to the realization of the set goals.
- Developing language skills of participants, especially in the technical terminology in a foreign language.
- Provision of logistic support to participants through the organization of appropriate vocational training, transport, accommodation, food, insurance, and the financing of the above items.
- Conducting participants in vocational training through mentors and accompanying persons who are familiar with the plan of learning and trained to carry out the planned tasks.
- a high-quality recognition, certification and validation of acquired skills through the Europass mobility certificate and other certificates
- A clear division of duties and responsibilities in the Memorandum of Understanding and Learning Agreement.
The project significantly contributes to increasing professional, linguistic and personal competencies of students and teachers / staff in the transport and logistics sector, and thus enhancing the quality of education in this sector. The project connects well the education system with the labour market at international level, and through this, the education system recognizes the needs of the labour market, while businessmen are involved in the creation of learning plans. Through a high-quality dissemination and evaluation of results it motivates students to vocational education in the transport sector, but also in other sectors. It raises the capacity of all partners to achieve a high-quality organization of future projects and thus contributes to easier inclusion of an even greater number of participants into an international learning experience. It has a long-term effect on the education policy and the economy at the national and international level and it implements EU objectives defined in the documents Bruges Communiqe 2011-2020 and Europe 2020.
