The EVS hosting project “Ludic paths” is coordinated by association “CEMEA del Mezzogiorno” (Rome – Italy) within Erasmus+ program for youth mobility. Other project partners are association “CEMEA Centre” (Orléans -France) that is sending organization; and social cooperative “ConTatto CEMEA Veneto” (Padova - Italy) that is receiving organization. All the partners are part of educational movement CEMEA (Training Centers in Methods of Active Education) and they have already cooperated within various actions.The project involves two French volunteers that will be welcomed in Padua (Italy) by Contatto CEMEA Veneto in two distinct period, each lasting nine months.Volunteer Camille Thomas will arrive on 03/10/2016 and leave 29/06/2017Volunteer Mélanie Boulanger will arrive on 03/01/2017 and leave 29/09/2017Both volunteers are sent by the association CEMEA Centre, active in region Centre-Val de Loire (France), in charge of their pre-departure training, on going support during the project and follow up.Volunteers will be involved in several activities, where the principal tool is “game”. We play with the aim of know the world, to test ourselves and other, to learn and improve thanks this comparison.In all experiences volunteers will be accompanied by trainers of receiving organization, according to the methods and principles of active education; mentor, tutor and pedagogical supervisor will be involved principally.Two main paths have been identified in which the 2 volunteers will be respectively involved. The first will be in a higher school of Padua. The volunteer will participate in ludic laboratories with students of “San Benedetto da Norcia” vocational school for agriculture, within a project against school dropout. She will be accompanied by trainers during interventions with students that they will plan and prepare before. Activities will concern themes like playing and manufacturing board games, arts, drama, linked with discovery of natural and rural heritage.The second path includes ludic interventions with children welcomed in “casa InConTra” educative center in Padua. This community is managed by ConTatto CEMEA Veneto and welcomes mothers and their children that live a hard moment of their life. The volunteer will lead these interventions and play with children in order to give quality to these moments and also to enable children to explore their own skills and real life.According with the desire of benefit from cultural diversity brought by european volunteers, this project sets his general objective in promoting an attitude of cultural inclusion within the teamwork of receiving organization, ConTatto CEMEA Veneto.Expected impact linked to the paths developed are to prevent school dropout in “San Benedetto da Norcia” school and to promote well-being of children welcomed in “Casa InConTra” community center.Volunteers will be accommodated in apartments or residence in Padua, they will have bus pass in order to move autonomously throughout the city; they will be welcomed by mentor who provide help for accommodation and orientation in a new and unknown environment. Volunteers will participate in trainings for activities that they will carry out.Volunteers will have periodic meetings with mentor, tutor and pedagogical supervisor to assess their volunteer path, to plan further activities and to seek solutions to problems that may arise as part of the project missions and in daily life .The project partners are committed to supporting volunteers in their learning path; they will communicate if necessary by e-mail, telephone or via Skype, to provide a coherent aid suitable to the required needs. They also undertake to disseminate results of the project through social media, websites and the active participation of volunteers in meetings for the promotion of youth mobility.
