QA and evaluations must lead to quality improvement in order to warrant the considerable efforts and resources invested. Thus, in the Common Quality Assurance Framework (CQAF) and in the new EQAVET Recommendation, the fourth stage of the quality cycle is highlighted as the crucial phase. In the LdV Project REVIMP – From Review to Improvement (NL/05/B/F/PP/157527) guidelines for successful of the fourth stage were developed for internal quality assurance in institutions of initial VET. The knowledge and experiences gleaned from this project will be applied to the European Peer Review procedure, a promising new Quality Assurance methodology which has been developed and tested in the projects Peer Review in initial VET (AT/04/C/F/TH-82000), Peer Review Extended (EAC/32/06/13, LE-78CQAF), and currently Peer Review Extended II (LLP-LdV/TOI/2007/AT/0011). AimsThe project aims at an innovation transfer and a cross-fertilisation between the LdV REVIMP project and the LdV Peer Review projects. In particular, the project intends to - Contribute to the implementation of the EQARF by focusing on the “review phase” as the crucial element of the quality cycle for improvement on the VET provider and school level.- Enhance the understanding of the interplay between institutional quality assurance systems, evaluations and institutional development/improvement of VET provision- Improve further the European Peer Review methodology focus on the impact and making changes- Increase of the use of Peer Reviews at national and European level by disseminating of results of previous Leonardo-projects on Peer Reviews and REVIMP and transfer the results to new sectors, target groups and regionally.- Optimise the effectiveness of external evaluations in VET, especially of the newly developed Peer Review methodologyPartnershipThe partnership will consist of public bodies, research institutions/universities and VET Providers. Other stakeholders – like representatives of social partners, European networks and institutions, institutions of Higher Education – will be integrated as supporting institutions into an extended network. Outcomes/ResultsThe main result of the project will be the “Peer Review Impact Guidelines”, addressed to VET Providers to enhance the impact of Peer Review in terms of improvement of VET provision and "Self-assessment guide for the impact of Peer Reviews (indicators and tools)" on the VET provider level. Further result will be a "Report on the Impact of Peer Reviews".Target groups and impact of the project on the target groupsThe primary target groups are VET providers in Europe who will use or plan to use Peer Review as quality assurance methodology at evaluation phase and as a methodology for mutual learning. Additionally, the project supports to improve the quality of VET at the at the national and European levels by making attention to the feedback and change.
