"Kinderbüro - Die Lobby für Menschen bis 14" (engl. Children Office - Lobby for people up to 14) is an austrian nonprofit organisation that is committed to the implementation of the UN Children's Rights Convention at various levels. In the meanwhile 15 to 17 colleagues continously are speaking for a child-friendly society in a child-friendly region. Our work is supported by 50 children´s and youth´s organisations, which are member-organisations of our association. There are five fields of interest that form the basis of our work as Children-Rights, Housing/Urbanism/Mobility, Health/Environment, Science/Education, Economy/Media with the main objective to improve the living conditions of children in our society. Our organisation is very convinced that intercultural experiences like the European Voluntary Service are a wonderful possibility for young people to learn and exchange. As we believe very much in a borderless Europe we are really willing to keep on working on this field. Also, it is obvious that "the borders" don't run between nations, and that there are borders within people themselves. On both these frontiers we want to fight, work and be part of creating a world which is more humanistic, just and equal. We always love to be inspired by new ideas and approaches in our projects and therefor we highly welcome evs volunteers in our organisation to be part of our mission. The volunteer will be hosted from 1st of September 2016 to 28th of February 2017. The association JUKUS – „Verein zur Förderung von Jugend, Kultur und Sport” – aims to work for and with young people especially with a migrant background and with the “energy” inherent in them. In various projects, JUKUS is working for and with adolescents and young adults between the age of 12 and 25. Also, JUKUS provides educational programs and networking opportunities regarding interculturality and sensitivity for diversity in the professional fields of social work and health management. JUKUS projects aim to further interculturality and acceptance of diversity in everyday life, as well as fostering awareness of these topics. Thus, the activities of JUKUS include organizing and hosting concerts, literature nights, movie screenings, conferences, workshops , exhibitions and is responsible of a youth center. Thus the volunteer will gain experiences both in the field of management such as helping to organize exhibitions and taking part together with the professional youth workers actively in the youth work in the youth centre. The volunteer will be hosted from 1st of September 2016 to 31st of August 2017.
