CONTEXT
Environmental respect and care
School internationalization
The schools aim to become reference centres for National Park education
To seek stable co-operation between the schools and the National Parks
Exploit National Parks as educational resources
REQUIREMENTS
Devising materials we deem necessary for the systematic introduction of the study of the National Park and its environment to the Educational Project of European Union secondary schools
METHODOLOGY
Interdisciplinary work into Didactical Programs for each Department in schools
Development plan to justify advise on, and facilitate the timetabling of interdisciplinary activities
Design activities in the five reference Parks, applicable to any National Park
Introduction of active learning methodologies
Introduction of ICT into every phase of the proyect
OBJECTIVES
Four areas:
-Renewal and innovation in teaching and learning processes
-Sustainable environmental exploitation and employability
-Cultural approach to the environment and environmental education
-Sustainability and environmental impact

RESULTS
-Schools become reference and interpretation centers for National Parks
-Space for dialogue and meeting among institutions and entities related to the Parks
-Employability perspectives
-Professional and academic orientation towards environmental specialitites
-Integrate study of Parks into school curricula
-Meaningful learning through active teaching methods
OUTCOMES
Didactical and methodological Guide for interdisciplinary work. Active methods and interactive learning for studying any European natural protected area. Two parts:
-General approach, for acquiring knowledge and competences in different subjects through National Park. Available to any Park in the EU
-Practical approach to each partner park with virtual visits and multidisciplinary activities
Guide will be hosted on an Internet Educational Portal.
