The Outdoor Tourism project aims to boost outdoor tourism potential in North Wales and South East Ireland. Project activity will focus on developing the Outdoor Tourim business for identified area in these regions The Outdoor Tourism Project will: • Foster business development in outdoor tourism by supporting at least five tourim businesses in each area• Support employment opportunities in outdoor tourim by developing a cross-border accredited outdoor instructor's apprentice programme• Develop innovative marketing initiatives in outdoor tourism by developing a joint marketing strategy and joint promotional tools with the objective to increase market attraction and promote the local area to a wider tourism market• Engage with local individuals in outdoor activities by organising taster sessions, development and coaching programmes with volunteers and workshops with communities in order to encourage the creation of a generation of local outdoor activity enthusiasts in the cross border area
