Our Issues - Our Voices

The project entitled "Our issues - Our Voices" is a youth initiated and youth-led project, based on the methodology of full participation of young people in all of the project activities.Its strategic objective is to enhance Young peoples involvement in Human Rights promotion with a particular focus on development-related issues in Africa, as well as to build a mutual understanding, cooperation and solidarity and to empower joint stand of European and African youth against the mass-media indifference towards youth policies and priorities.The project covers all of the priorities, namely: (1) Participation of young people, (2) Cultural diversity, (3) European citizenship, (4) Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, (5) Global issues affecting young people, such as climate change, sustainable development, migrations, and the Millennium Development Goals,(6) Combating poverty and social exclusion, (7) Strengthening the Euro-African dialogue, exchange and cooperation in the field of youth.The project will take place in Poland, Austria, Ghana and Sierra Leone, who are the partner countries for this project. It will include a series of activities by and for young people: local meetings, international training; Our Isuues - Our Voices Tour through project countries, during which young people will observe and discuss with the use of media the issues that are important for them and their peers. There will also be a set of follow-up activities, including a publication of the book with DVD, containing produced media material.The core team consists of 12 people - 3 from each country. The follow-up activities will reach at lest 2000 young people, while dissemination of results through Internet, with use of existing tools and social networks, is likely to reach thousands more of young people.
