PROJECT
FINISHED
The project we are trying to begin is of great importance to us. Taking into consideration the fact that we are a small school with only 12 classes in which nearly one quarter of students suffer from different kinds of dysfunctions and that we live in the region where many families face the issue of unemployment we hope to implement the best methods we are to acquire during the project.
We truly care about children's development and their future. It is a matter of big significance for us to expand the offer of our school in order to encourage the gifted children from our region to enrol in our school so that we could teach them creativity and instruct them how to make the best use of the knowledge in their future life. Besides, we aim to motivate our students to learn foreign languages by showing them how their Turkish peers acquire such language skills. In the future, it will also give us an opportunity to begin the eTwinning cooperation with Turkish school. What is more, we are eager to observe the experience of Turkish teachers in teaching languages, carrying out prohealth education, ecological education and methods of integrating students with special needs.
Among the teachers who are going to take part in the project are both young and experienced teachers. They are willing to improve their teaching skills and learn useful teaching methods that they could apply in their work. We hope that this project enables us the development of our methodological and pedagogical abilities in teaching various subjects. We will be interested in getting to know the devices the Turkish school uses in the cooperation with parents, cultural institutions as well as its ways of financing school activity. Foreign trainings will motivate and allow us to improve our language competence in English. It is also an outstanding opportunity to gain some knowledge of the national heritage of Turkey.
Since our school has the status of “school that aims to discover talents”, we are mainly focused on learning new ways of discovering and supporting students’ talents. We plan to enrich our knowledge concerning cooperation with the local environment and partner institutions.
The project will provide us with an opportunity to establish a model of improving professional, multicultural and language competence of our teaching staff that will contribute to higher quality of education. It will be also a great chance to work in a bigger group and to overcome our own barriers and stereotypes. The first part of the project is dedicated to the cultural and language preparation of our staff. The second part is a visit of 8 Polish teachers in school in Nazili in February 2017 (when the school year is ongoing that time). To this time we want to communicate with the partner school to prepare our visit in details.
All the gained abilities we are going to implement as soon as we return to our country. We hope to use our new experience in the best possible way. We also believe that our experience acquired during the project will help us to carry out other European projects in future so that we will stay ”open-minded” to other chances that may come our way.
