The project "Open Your Heart. Give me your time "emphasizes the principles of innovation and proactivity required size of volunteering in a constantly changing world. The project is a challenge both for volunteers and for Sirina Association and the local community through the proposed approach exploiting the potential participants in a process of personal growth through creative, shared commitment and action-oriented community life quality. "Open Your Heart. Give me your time "is a volunteer project and social responsibility, which responds to the needs detected by us - socio-psycho-emotional neglect of children.
Project activities will take place over a period of 8 months in Arad, Romania, with a mobility K.1 European Voluntary Service, funded by Erasmus +. The project will be implemented with the help of 4 volunteers from Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal participating in mobility activities will be conducted with 60 students of Secondary School "Joseph Moldovan" Arad, which is the target group of neglected children in the community.
The proposed project is a project with people and for people. Identify its benefits to the volunteers, to the organizations involved, the beneficiaries of the Community and at other levels: local, regional, national and international. Impact for volunteers is done on several levels. "Open your heart. Give me your time" offers the chance to volunteer personal development, giving them support points later in their course, regardless of the route to be followed by them, in the construction of projects in multiprofessional teams, but a true life. Also will highlight the values of each culture, the need to preserve cultural identity, and respect for other cultures, accepting diversity as a way of knowing the world and as a means of living harmoniously.
Our objectives in this project are:
• Strengthening cross compatentelor for volunteers through non-formal program, and also providing life experiences;
• Increased self-confidence among socially disadvantaged children in the Secondary School "Joseph Moldovan" Arad,
• Using collaborative community during the 8 months of volunteer program developed with a focus on social innovation, proactiveness and valuing diversity in sustaining a quality service offered to the community.
