The content of the project: During a child’s school life the most important period is preschool period that we call it kindergarten at the same time. At this period the children have high potential of learning and physical, mental, linguistic, social, emotional, behavioral and psychomotor developments that they get in this period affect their personality in a significant way and have a lifelong impact. Skills and behaviors that a child gets in this period significantly affect his/her future personality, behavior, lifestyle and outlook on life. The educational method that we use in this important period of a child has a major place on the way to success. Nowadays different educational methods are used during preschool period. One of these methods is Montessori Educational Method that is frequently mentioned in recent times. Montessori Educational Method which is considered to be quite successful in today's educational system and being implemented in thousands of schools in many countries is taking place gradually in our country. By the help of the project studies, our seven consortium member schools from our province that take place in the project were provided; to see the Montessori method implementations in its place, to implement the method and to exchange the ideas with the staff of the schools in which the method is implemented. The general aim of the project: -Our preschool educational system was contributed to be developed and modernized by disseminating Montessori Method in our preschool educational system. The specific aims of the project: -Montessori Educational Method was integrated to our preschool educational system. -The educational capacities and qualities of the participant institutions were developed. -New materials and modules in preschool education were developed. -Our preschool institutions became international by helping them establishing cross-border cooperation. -The abilities of the participants about Montessori Education Method were developed. -The participants gained vision. -Foreign language proficiency of the participants was improved. -Awareness of the participants about European Culture and European Countries was improved. The number and profile of the participants: The participants are the directors and teachers of the consortium member preschool education institutions. The total number of the participants is 30. Description of activities: Activity 1: Project commissions were created. Activity 2: Project presentation meeting was made. Activity 3: Participants were selected and training contracts were made. Activity 4: Preparatory trainings were given. Activity 5: The first project coordination meeting was made. Activity 6: The group attended the 9 days project implementation activities in Italy. Activity 7: The second project coordination meeting was made. Activity 8: The participants prepared their individual reports. Activity 9: Dissemination activities were carried out. Activity 10: The final report of the project edited. Methodology to be used when executing the project: -Contracts were held with the participants and consortium members after acceptance of the project. In this way, the responsibilities were recorded. - When choosing the participants; open and general announcements were made in consortium member schools, the candidate participants made their applications and the participants were chosen by management monitoring committees. By this way the selection of the participants was made transparently. - Before the participants go abroad cultural, pedagogical and Italian language education were given in the scope of preparatory studies. By this way the participants carried out the implementation activities in Italy easily and seamlessly. - Dissemination activities were carried out. Predicted results and effects: -Montessori Education Method was provided to integrate our preschool education system. -The educational capacities and international qualifications of the participating institutions were developed. -New modules and materials were developed in pre-school education. -Our preschool institutions became international by establishing cross-border cooperation. -The competence of the participants about the Montessori Education Method was developed. -The participants were provided to gain vision. -The foreign language proficiency and communication competences of the participants were increased. -The participants’ awareness about European culture and European countries was increased. -The preschool teachers from 7 different schools set up a “WhatsApp” group in order to share and evaluate the knowledge that they gained and the practices that they do in their schools. The long-term potential benefits: -Disseminating Montessori Method in preschool education provided contribution to the modernization and development of our education system. -Students studying in the consortium member schools were educated by the Montessori Method.
