Our school aims to promote museum education of students and the acquisition of positive attitudes and behaviors in museum exhibits, museums and archaeological sites. The mobility will enrich the knowledge and experiences of the teacher who will participate, will contribute to the implementation of new ways of approaching and dealing the museum and archaeological sites. The educational programs that we organize for our students will be enriched, improved and modernized. This will hopefully enhance students’ interest and will motivate more teachers to get involved productively on the subject. Our students will be able to creatively expand their knowledge and develop further communication skills. After the monitoring of mobility, we expect to create Web links with schools in Europe that have common concerns and interests, in order to make online exchange of opinions, development of links and ideas for implementation. The teacher chosen by the school, in addition to her academic knowledge on the subject of museum education (Master of Arts) has expressed the love and interest about the topic through a series of activities organized annually to museums and archaeological sites. The school collaborates closely with the teacher, has identified the programs that will make the goals we have set achievable and has developed online communication with the organisers. Through the mobilities chosen:-Experimental Barcelona: Experimental travel for creative education, tourism and for wellbeing.-Europe between Mythology, Modernity and Multiculturalism.-Discovering renaissance Art in Florence. is expected that the teacher who will participate, will be primary benefit. Therefore, the rest teachers of the school will benefit while they will be informed through displays and presentations of the participant teacher during school conferences. These will lead to the enrichment of educational programs organized to museums and archaeological sites. Students will have the opportunity to approach the museums with new, modern ways of approach and to acquire knowledge, attitudes and habits of a lifetime. It is expected that the cooperations with the Community and the Department of Antiquities will be strengthened by creating new museum education activities to raise awareness of community members and the wider society. Through mobility the teacher will get in touch and meet people, teachers from other European countries, who have similar interests and concerns. They will be able to exchange ideas on the subject, to create new partnerships, online tours to museums and archaeological sites, as correlations of the history of Cyprus with the history of other throngs (eg throngs who have passed through Cyprus) comparisons of lifestyle during the same historical period, in different countries (eg Roman period in Cyprus, Roman period in European countries). We will have the opportunity to develop partnerships also with the organizers of the conference in order to reinforce our goal.In these and other ways, we will be able to face our history and culture as a part of European culture. We will strengthen our European cultural identity and secure our inclusiveness in European issues. As European citizens we would like to discover aspects of European culture that bring various European states closer.
