Our project, entitled "Improving Information and Competences of our educators and managers in Adult Education and Training Management to the European Standard" , focuses on staff training. As our school, we organize education for or our teachers and trainers . However, our trainers who take part or would like to take part in education, need to attend education courses in order to develop their information and competences which will help to improve our trainings to European standarts. Those courses or study visit should focus on effective presentation techniques, participatory audience needs analysis, designing of training content and methods of education, measuring effectiveness of education. In addition, such programs should offer workshops style in order to facilitate application. On the other hand, as Directorate of Education, we would like to organize courses for foreign participants. Therefore, we need to prepare our trainers for international courses, and also prepare our managers monitor ad review such courses abroad in order to learn how to organize international courses. It is important for us to learn about cultural differences to organize this kind of activities within the Directorate. As Turkey's directorate of national education services with the highest population, we need to provide as our managers and trainers opportunity to participate in on-site investigations and studies in order to develope our institutional capacity to international and European level.
Therefore, our managers in the Provincial Directorate of National Education Departments of Lifelong Learning, Teacher Training and Strategy Development and staff involved in adult education will have courses or study visits in European countries, , Italy, Ireland.
As a priority ;
- Italy - June 2014, 7 days to 6 participants
- Ireland - August 2014 7 days 6 participants
12 participants will be selected among the staff at our relevant departments taking into consideration local work schedule. The participants will be who are or would like to be adult education trainer , who have basic level of foreign language skills follow up the course or visits at mobilities, who have has the competency of reporting research documents, who can contribute to the curriculum development of the local adult education, who have preferably academic qualifications.
In additon to this mobility activity, our main activities are planned as follow;
- Preparation for our participants Mobility Activities for Staff Training
- Staff Training Activities Abroad
- Project Evaluation Activities in a way that our participants actively contribute
- Dissemination Activities for sharing of experience Project Staff Training Activities
Our key staff members of our Project Team will be responsible for the execution of the project .
We are planning to sign learning contract wit our participants to facilitate their active participation at every stage and partnership agreement to ensure responsibilities of the host partner.
E- mail group will be kept up to date for sharing information with the group . In order to take participants' feedback about the project execution , we will apply pre- test, post -test and participants' daily reports. Collaborative approach will be conducted to carry out the project.
It is expected to increase our participating staff's information on adult education , skills and competences to the level of European standards .In our projects overseas courses or visit, we expect to support our participants with skills of effective presentation techniques, participatory audience needs analysis, training content and methods to design , measure the effectiveness of training in the knowledge. We also expect to gain cross-cultural pesrpectives for our furhter courses for foreign participants. We expect to learn more about cultural differences. Therefore, participants will develop attitude of tolerance towards different cultures.
