In 2014, the Local Agency for Employment and Training (ALEF) of the municipality of Getafe decided to embark on a mobility project for students in their Marketing and International Trade professionality certificate course, with the aim of increasing the chances of employability, after their training.
So a 90-day internship program was created in United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal and Austria, for 10 students. This internships in Europe constitute part of the estructure of learning modules that students have to course to obtain the professionality certificate, and are validated in the case of the students selected for the international practices project. The rest of students make their practices in enterprises located at Community of Madrid.
These internships in Europe, added to those already carried out by this group of young people in Spain, helped to complete the training program for their Marketing and International Trade course, taught by the ALEF.
With the achievement of ODISEO, the following objectives have been reached:
- Providing work experience to young people with employment difficulties.
- Provide a socio-cultural experience that will improve the abilities of the participants.
