The general objectives are to contribute to the construction of a European cultural identity that reflects the new political geography; To promote the trans-national mobility of cultural workers; To support the trans-national circulation of cultural and artistic works and products; To promote inter-cultural dialogue. The specific objective is to promote traditional music instruments as an important cultural heritage element by finding new opportunities and uses. The following activities will occur in PT, SE, RO, UK and CY: A)Artistic residency, to promote artistic creation between musicians using traditional music instruments, and dancers inspired in traditional dances; B) Documentary, to film the work developed in the artistic residency, to create a timeless tool that will promote the project and the inter-cultural dialogue it aims for C) Music CD that records the cultural work developed in the residency and its dissemination at a large scale. D) Exchanges, meeting between organizers and local cultural agents from all partner countries. E) Conferences, to discuss cultural issues relevant to cultural agents working at a European level. F) Open Houses, to exchange knowledge on traditional music instruments between foreign musicians, local musicians and general public. G) Music Concerts/dance performances, a tour in five countries of concerts/performances by musicians and dancers from the partner countries, previously prepared in the artistic residency.The expected results of the project are the acquisition of new artistic and creation skills by the participating artists; A large number of European citizens with access to a new European product; consolidated partnerships and networks of cultural organizations at an European level; Better prepared organizations and better cultural policies for operating at a European level.
