Melilla is a town bordering Morocco, which hosts a large number of students from this country, some whom have school gap which leads to a language immersion to Spanish as a second language and the inclusion of a third language, English. To do this in Reyes Católicos school in Melilla has a plan for diversity both for students with special needs, such as immigrant children and those in risk of social exclusion.A bilingual English-language project is being introduced in our school, which now reaches from first to fourth grade. We are also engaged in a project to improve both Spanish and English languages through the Doman method. For all that, our teachers have to be prepared to meet these challenges, improving their language skills in English, teaching different subjects in the language and incorporating effective measures for attention to diversity both in Spanish and English, in addition to promoting the integration of foreign students, immigrants, refugees and students at risk of social exclusion. Moreover our school is a training center teacher trainees (teachers-to-be) so we have always wanted to be at the forefront of educational processes and innovations of the main reference countries. The management team is involved in this project in order to acquire new instruments for the improvement, operation and evaluation of our educational process.Through this project we want:- Our teachers to improve their skills in English and CLIL.- Acquire new resources and strategies for the integration of foreign students and immigrants, and care of students with special needs.- To reflect on our teaching and propose new methodologies and better practices for innovation and improvement proposals.- To encourage creativity and motivation in both teachers and students. This project has two main objectives:- Teacher training. Teachers need adquire recycled skills and improvement work in a bilingual school.- Improving their teaching skills intended to address issues of diversity in the classroom, whether children with special educational needs, children with foreign language immersion, or refugee children. So we have decided to work in different areas of expertise, so that the school gains curricular experiences:- Children Education- Primary education- Attention to diversity and integration of refugees and foreign students- Physical education- English language- Management teamEach teacher will conduct a training course, either personal or recycling to promote the objectives proposed in this project, we propose some observation periods and good practice too, in order to have a vision as enriching and wide as possible, taking into account the timing and availability of hosting institutions. After the experience, the teacher made a presentation or prepare a report setting out all the positive aspects that can benefit our school. The center will integrate these experiences enriched activities, assuming the beneficial proposals and proposing other innovation projects and teaching practices. We expect that we can establish very strong links with the various centers with which collaborative activities among our students are made. In this way we will promote the European dimension and improve their language skills in the most practical way possible.
