Non-formal cu IMPACT
Start date: May 3, 2010,
The project "Non-formal cu IMPACT" is a national youth initiative that aims to develope new non-formal education methods, for 30 youth workers from five regions of Romania. The activities will take place in Straja, Hunedoara county, during 8 days ( 4 days for one group and 4 days for the other). The main objective of the project is to improve methods of non-formal education for people working directly with the children and youth who participate in IMPACT Clubs' community initiatives, thus adding the values of personal development, education, and community to this program. Direct beneficiaries of the project will be the 30 coordinators of these community initiative clubs, which were originally created by New Horizons Foundation's national IMPACT program in 2002.Most IMPACT Club coordinators are volunteers, teachers, students, and socio-educational instructors who devote their free time to the activities of the bi-weekly club meetings. Project activities will consist in participants (IMPACT coordinators) experimenting with innovative methods of non-formal education while ensuring a framework for the exercise of related skills and capabilities through activities such as : street animation , Forum Theater, theater maze, educational theater, living library, open space, photovoice, flash mob, and other methods.
