"No Impact Project" is an idea based on the international No Impact Movement which supports a sustainable lifestyle. In our mobility, 32 young people from 4 countries - Bulgaria, Italy, Moldova, Romania, will learn how to develop and improve a sustainable lifestyle, with less waste and impact upon the environment. The project will take place between 1st and 10th of May, 2014, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
With the help of trainers and experts, the participants will gain competences (knowledge, abilities, attitudes) in what concerns environment policies at European and national level for each participant state, the European Waste Hierarchy, which introduced the concept of prevention, reuse, recycle, recovery (3R) and disposal of waste. The main objective of this initiative is to raise awareness for the participants, through the usage of non-formal education methods, upon the necessity of an individual sustainable lifestyle for the environmental preservation. Each day of the mobility, the participants will take one step further in the no impact lifestyle: less consumption, less trash, less pollution through transportation, local food, less energy, less water and, in the end, they will learn how to give back their newly acquired competences to their communities.
Used methods within activities: ice-breakers, energizers, brainstromings, practical workshops, film projection, simulation.
Once they are back in their community, as part of the multiplication process, the youngsters will implement different workshops on creative recycling for their beneficiaries.
The methods and training sessions will be filmed and, along with the participants testimonials, they will be edited and disseminated. Another result will be a website in accordance with the project, where all the promotors and the beneficiaries, as well as anybody else who is interested, will post information on the European and participant states' legislative framework concerning the addressed topics, as well as follow-up projects ideas and examples of good practices in the field of environment protection and sustainable lifestyle.
