Project: New training program „ Health and injury prevention on hard surfaces for young athletes“ in the field of volleyball, or simply: HIPHURA (for volleyball) has general objective to contribute to prevention of injuries and protect health of young athletes through involvement of coaches and methodological experts with extensive experience in training youth, mutual exchange of best practices in volleyball training and ideas for improvement of practical training methodology. Project’s objectives will be achieved through the small strategic partnership of organisations with strong background and excellent history of achieved sport's results: Hrvatski akademski odbojkaski klub Mladost, Zagreb, Croatia; Odbojkarski klub Nova KBM Branik, Maribor, Slovenia; Sport-Vereinigung Schwechat Telocvicna Jednota Sokol I und V, Vienna, Austria and scientific institution Kineziološki fakultet Sveučilište u Zagrebu, Zagreb, Croatia. The specific objectives of HIPHURA (for volleyball) project are: 1) to develop an innovative volleyball training program with emphasis on injury prevention and health protection, focusing on young ones (youth and juniors – age 15-19) that will encompass trainings on three surfaces (sand, grass, indoor) in a way that young athletes in preparation period avoid direct and, for body, aggressive start of practice on hard, wooden or synthetic surface. and 2) to develop and publish e-learning materials (TtT Handbook) that will explain new training program, provide guidelines for conducting program and secure sustainability of project results. Project members, experts for sand, grass & indoor surfaces will develop volleyball training program with emphasis on injury prevention & health protection that will encompass trainings in preparation period on 3 surfaces and TtT Handbook. Project results will be verified through 2 demonstration sessions in Maribor,Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia while 21 volleyball coaches will be educated via TtT events.
