In the European Year of Volunteering - 2011, Municipal Youth Centre - Ruse is planning to organize a contact-making seminar on the topic "European Voluntary Service". The aim of the seminar is to gather partners from Euro-Mediterranean countries in order to share experiences and to create new projects and long-term partnerships. The seminar is going to be held in Ruse, Bulgaria from 24 to 28 of June 2011. The participants will be youth workers and NGO representatives from 15 Euro-Mediterranean countries. Through the methods of non-formal education the participants in the seminar will present their organizations and activities, countries and cultures, they will share their experience and best practices in the field of volunteering. The participants will promote their future project ideas with their new potential partners and after the project will exchange volunteers. We envisage a meeting between the participants, the local authorities and the city mayor, regional NGOs, media and youth leaders from Ruse. The realization of the above activities will increase the capacity, the efficiency and the effectiveness of the youth organizations developing volunteer projects and hosting volunteers.
