A previous LEONARDO project (NetPro I) resulted in NBPL (network based project learning), a new pedagogical approach to the organisation of vocational and university learning in the engineering education sector. Feedback on that project indicated the need for additional training models based on modern work practices, reorganisation of working methods and processes. Learning of this kind is impossible without tools tailored to both the students' and the teachers' tasks. Two pilot experiments will result in:° Redefinition and refinement of network-based project-learning models;° Set of tools for a web-based learning environment adapted to the working practices of modern enterprises;° Learning materials and activities and the development of the assessment strategy;° Practical learner and teacher/trainer guides;° Written and electronic support materials in three areas (media technology, software engineering and electronic engineering);° Interactive learning material including a best case study database;Updating the NBPL handbook which will also be implemented as a database application on the web. Dissemination will be through the partnership organisations, the project's web site, the educational authorities and the relevant industry sectors.
