Our training course NESTing - Learning by building! will be carried out between August 9-17. 2015 in the town of Zalaszentgrót with partners from: Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Turkey. It aims to answer to the international phenomena, the lack of outdoor youth spaces which are planned and built with young people. Therefore we have designed a training course for youth workers which based on knowledge transfer and introduces the adaptable know-hows of community building, architecture and DIY handy crafts and re-design. The method will be experimental learning, which in this case means following a community planning process via internet, then on the spot learning by building, decorating and creating the dreamed out-door youth space. Six countries will be represented at our training via young people, youth leaders, youth workers and volunteer – 23 participants all together. During this training they will gain practice orientated knowledge, which will raise their “inner readiness” to initiate same kind of projects (community planning and building) at their hometown.
