EURC, IIR, NCCU,(European Research Center, Institute of International Relations, National ChengChi University), will provide our project for Eramus+ Jean Monnet 2015. We choose two objects to apply the project. Our objects are to equip students and young professional with knowledge of European subjects relevant for their academic and professional lives and enhance their civic skills, as well as to foster the dialogue between the academic world and policy makers, in particular to enhance governance of EU policies. Therefore, our projects will mainly concentrate on these aspects for association between the academic community and the public. We design 4 activities to achieve our goals. They are EU-Taiwan Forum, European-Taiwan conference, Volunteer works in Taiwan, and Summer school for high school and college students. EU-Taiwan ForumEU-Taiwan Forum is a platform for researchers to communicate with each other. Scholars participate the forum and gain the latest information. It will stimulate these specialists to create new idea of EU studies. European-Taiwan conferenceEuropean-Taiwan conference is a tradition,and we held the 31st conference in Taipei last year. In this meeting, we will invite the scholars studying in EU, and officers of European countries. Volunteer WorkIt is an activity that we invite European students to Taiwan remote region like Nantau or Taitung for volunteer works. We hope to promote Taiwanese pupils’ comprehension of EU and Europe and to broaden European students’ knowledge and understanding on Taiwan. Summer school. In this summer vocation school, we will invite the specialists in EU to introduce the basic information of EU. These scholars will shed a light on political, economic, cultural, social issues of EU. We expect to inspire these students interests on EU by these courses.
