Nature (Re)connection

Nature Re(connection) will take place in Brasov, Romania, between 1st and 7th of July and it will gather youngsters between 18 and 25 years old from Great Britain, Turkey and Romania. The main aim of the project is to offer youngsters the chance to reconnect with nature and to spend quality time in the nature, while they are discovering the natural richness and diversity that small communities around Brasov are offering. This proccess will facilitate development of knowledge regarding natural resources and our impact on nature, reflection on methods and instruments that we can use to develop an eco-friendly behaviour and will encourage the active participation of youngsters through sharing and promoting an healthy and ecco-friendly attitude. During the 7 days of the YE, participants will visit small local communities around Brasov, will spend one night in a camping in a protected area, will prepare educational materials/ promotional materials for an eco-friendly behaviour that they will present in Wild Kingdom bus of TENT organization, will discuss with local authorities, and will participate in a rich and intense intercultural exchange. The methods used in achivieng the aim and objectives of the project are based on non-formal learning methods, including energizers, ice-breaking and team building, role-playing, simulation games, problem solving, orienteering competition, nature games,educational and interactive workhops, intercultural workshops, brainstorming, video/photo making, study visits, feedback, self-evaluation, intercultural parties, movies watching and discutions etc. The method applied will be based on non-formal learning methods and intercultural dialogue finalized to the self-development of each participant through the enhancement of the awarness regarding eco-behaviour, working and living in cultural diverse teams competences, creativity and active participation.
