The training course NAME IT! Youth Work and Communication Approaches to Manage Conflicts will be 7 days long. It will be held in Orvieto (TR), Italy hosted in Casa Laboratorio il Cerquosino run by the local association Artemide that will be the hosting association. The participants will be 23 and the countries involved are Italy, Montenegro, FYROM, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Spain and Portugal. The themes of the project are the analysis of the different forms of discrimination that can take place in the outskirts of the big cities, in European and in SEE countries and the research of new participative approaches to actively involve the young people who live there. The aim of the project is to train peer educators, youth and social workers on accessing policies and on non violent management of conflict and to make them able to manage local and international voluntary projects targeted at young people with fewer opportunities. The implemented activities will be: interactive workshops to analyse group dynamics, leadership and the use of power, laboratory on communication and information, on conflicts and non violent management of conflicts, group discussions and development of accessing policies in voluntary service projects. The working methods envisaged are based on the principles of the non formal education which promotes the active learning, the permanent interaction among trainees, trainers and facilitators and the peer to peer exchange of knowledge.
