The main project objective was as follows: improving the conditions needed to start a business in the local area by establishing and launching an incubator in Lendava, setting up services to assist micro, small and medium enterprises from both sides of the border, organising joint cross-border activities and fairs to encourage entrepreneurship, and developing support and information infrastructure used to keep potential and current entrepreneurs up to date. Project implementation was supported by partner cooperation (including cross-border), creating the facilities needed for the incubator and its users in order to facilitate the growth of local business. Achievements: As planned, the project enabled drawing up a methodological study, organising a fair on business ideas which included several lectures and workshops, creating the web portal www.murania-inkubator.si, setting up equipped incubator offices located in the town centre (8 offices covering a total of 154 m2), publishing promotional material and developing the incubator´s development strategy as well as a financing and development plan. The mutual activities and fairs which were carried out under the project encouraged entrepreneurship on both sides of the border. Finally, the new website (www.murania-inkubator.si), promotional material and one-stop-shop services have ensured the visibility of the project.
