In the context of ecological and social problems, such as shortage of natural resources and climate change, sustainability and environmental protection become more important. To ensure our next generations the possibility of living a good life, it’s important to raise awareness for the environment and show a way, how everyone of us can make a change.
Thus we, the Jugend:info NÖ, want to give young people from seven different European countries (max. 5/country + guide) the chance to learn basics about sustainability, work together on solutions and get to know the Green Event concept.
With workshops about green events, project management and sustainability generally the participants get an insight into the subject. But it’s not all about theory: We want to ensure a very practical approach, so that young people can contribute their own ideas and concepts – by for example letting them organize their own green Disc Golf Tournament in the end of it. Furthermore we plan to take a trip to Vienna to see, how nature and city interact. The fun definitely is not missed out, as there'll be a Disc Golf workshop and an hiking trip to a energy-autonomous mountain hut.
In order to prepare the young people for the week we will host an APV, so that the guides get to know the subject and the programm of 'Moving Green'.
The aim of the week is to raise awareness for the ecological problems in the world and to question our own consumption pattern.
Furthermore we want to enable the young people to gain knowledge about the organisation of a green sport event.
