PROJECT
FINISHED
The VRSA Parish has a wide range of activities in several areas of action . We believe that with this project of mobility for learning purposes, we will enrich not only the users of those activities, but also the community at large, promoting European values, citizenship, equality and inclusion, that distinguish this type of project. We want our community to be involved in experiments/projects like this so that other realities are understood and known. The promotion of volunteering values, promoting multicultural meeting/multiculturalism, promotion of youth participation are also key objectives in parallel with the development of civic education and youth participation and the sharing of knowledge and experience. The VRSA Parish, through GAJUCE, would like to welcome six volunteers (divided by the 24 months of the project, 3 in 2016 and 3 in 2017), pro-active, motivated, responsible, with initiative, team spirit and be cooperative. The fact that volunteers having previous experience in the sporting, social, educational and cultural will not be a deciding factor as to speak the English language, a capital gain will be considered, as we believe that the most important point will be the motivation, willingness to learn and the contribution they can offer to the project. Factors such as gender, religion and sexual orientation are not important for us, as previous experience. We are prepared to accept volunteers with fewer opportunities, based on social, economic and cultural obstacles. We intend to provide opportunities for these young people, with the aim of expanding their horizons, promote your personal and professional growth and expand its European awareness and active citizenship. The volunteers will be allocated to different activities classified into three distinct areas: sports and social nature; pedagogical and social and youth participation; and cultural/artistic nature. Volunteers will be integrated into an existing structure (Projecto Crescer) involving young graduates and youths without mandatory minimum education, from our Parish. This is a project that already exists within our structure and provides input and assistance on existing activities. We think it will be very interesting and useful for the volunteers and the participants of the project, as this is a form of team work where the sharing of knowledge, life experiences, the multicultural encounter and linguistic shares will generate greater ease of integration and this will have a very important role in the personal development of young people involved. To recognize and validate the learning process carried out by the volunteers involved in our project, the instrument used is Youthpass. The GAJUCE create learning plans and assessment tools, self- assessment that will analyze all learning undertaken during the project in order to see whether the objectives are being achieved. This review process will be strengthened through dialogue with the voluntary and based on the development/acquisition of the key competences of the European Voluntary Service. We will check the acquisition of these skills by performing weekly debates and moments of evaluation with the volunteers, mentors and tutors. The evaluations will be based on documents such as the "Youthpass Unfolded" and " Handbook For Facilitators - Learnig to Learn in Practice".We hope that this project, Moving Exchanges VRSA 16/17, will contribute to a new experience of life in the hope that everyone involved to acquire skills in various areas of action, with the object and purpose of the volunteers can replicate these activities on their own tow - multiplier effect - because this project will be an important contribution to the personal development of both, the volunteers and everyone involved. We hope this project will have a positive impact at local, regional and national / international level, reflected in greater interest on the part of young people on issues such as youth participation, active citizenship, mobility for learning, interest in learning more about Europe and of being a European citizen, making it more inclusive learning. We hope to create a network of strong contacts with our partners for future projects, reinforcing the international dimension of activities in the youth sector and strengthen the capacity of the individuals concerned and organizations. We want our activities to become richer when it comes to sharing experience, knowledge and international experiences. It is anticipated that this project will produce positive and lasting effects on participants of activities, partner organizations involved and the wider community.
