These are 2 Vocational Training Colleges with great similarities in the training specialities that they offer and that have collaborated in several mobility projects in recent years. Both institutions have an updated Quality Certification.
The collaboration project between INSTITUT CALLIPOLIS y el Gertrud-Bäumer Berufskolleg consists of 2 main elements:
- On one hand 8 , 4+4, students will carry out their traineeship module in partner companies of the German institute. These will be Farmacies or Hairdresser Parloirs as travelling students will be studying those VT Courses. Spanish students will share their experience with German students ready to smooth their difficulties of cultural impact of the first days. Teacher in charge of the project at the Gertrud-Bäumer Berufskolleg will attend students if needed and will help them adapt to German lifestyle during their stay there. The logistics of their hosting with be done in agreement with our hosting partner school. Students will have their traineeship in an international environment which will help their future employability and adaptation to multicultural situations.
- On the other hand 4 teachers, 2+2, will travel to Duiasburg for one week coinciding with the week that students start work at the companies for their traineeship. On the first day they introduce the students to their employers following indications of the people in charge at Gertrud-Bäumer Berufskolleg. During the following days they will have a program of work and visits so that they get to know the German School System in depth, their Vocational Training and very specially their Dual System of Vocational Training which is now being introduced in our country. Participating teachers are responsible for planning and stablishing new VT Courses in our institute.
We aim to obtain consistent knowledge of contrasted successful experiences of the German Dual System of VT, very precisely knowledge about how to stablish better partnership with collaborating companies and about how to organize these courses more efficiently. All in the direction to improve our VT system and to achieve a better employability for our future students.
