Trainees from the electric field of vocational school Cham perform in Vantaa, Finland an internship in which they examine and carry out a practical problem in the field of remote maintenance and remote programming and system expansion in a project-based way. Together with the Finnish partner institution international teams are formed in advance, communicating over the Internet (problem and task analysis). Then detailed issues are discussed and resolved locally.Intercultural skills will be promoted in addition to the technical aspects. The linguistic and communicative skills will also be enhanced, e.g. by video conferencing and data sharing via the web.Tolerance and democratic behavior are to be strengthened.Another focus is the evaluation of the new communication possibilities on the Internet (Hangouts, WhatsApp, Skype, cloud-based document processing).Teams of teachers will accompany and support the students during their learning processes or will stand aside the Finnish colleagues in the context of job-shadowing. The participants will get a deeper insight into the concepts of Finnish VET.We expect a significant increase in competence and skill levels in many areas, with multiplier effects in the factories and through public relations. This will also rise the flexibility in the choice of occupationt. It will also the increase teh attractiveness of vocational training.
