The terms redefinition, revitalization, and re-conceptualization are not simply part of the official work language of UNESCO. They are key words in the context of the transformational processes, reflective of the reforms of the Educational system in both the 20th and 21st centuries.
Education is a dynamic system its quality is closely connected to its development and changes. It corresponds directly to the results achieved by a school as an institution and is a product of its aims, aspirations and priorities, modified again and again to the demands of changing society. The frequent reforms of the educational system lead correspondingly to its frequent restructuring and appear to be a constant challenge to teachers and headmasters. Institutions which manage to cope successfully with the dynamic environment have high expectations about their employees of all levels of hierarchy to accept the responsibility for reflecting the changes and take the initiative. Changes provide the basis for such processes in organization as individual development, team work and organization strategies.
Prospering institutions are in a constant growth of development. Achieving high levels of quality is an inevitable process which requires effective way of its management. New technologies and heightened parents’ expectations for educational progress demand that schools should make basic reorganizations of their work and have a significant change in their policies.
Main objectives:
- Improving the school’s activities through increasing the personal responsibilities and engagements of the teachers;
- Providing the educational tools for assessment of all aspects of school life;
- Improving the quality of education through acquiring further qualifications of teachers and higher achievements of students;
- Obtaining a constructive feedback about assessment of the achieved quality standards;
Specific aims:
- Exploring various European practices of reaching high educational standards;
- Sharing and applying innovative methods of teaching;
- Using the models of interactive teaching methods and training to create a framework of achievement standards in education;
- Publicizing participants’ impressions and implications;
It is intended for twenty-nine participants to attend courses in several European countries as follows:
1. Stimulating creativity through team work
2. Motivating students through problem solving tasks

5. CLIL – tools and applications for teachers working with CLIL
6. Technology Enhanced learning
7. Language Learning Fun and Games /primary level education/
8. Leadership
9. Teaching / Job shadowing
The qualification courses are chosen according to the priorities of the institution and the European plan of development. The target group is heterogeneous in age but homogenous in aims, aspirations and motivation. Teaching profession is full of challenges and requires constant innovating and qualifying demanded by the high standards of society and the dynamic learning environment.
The target group is teachers of 32nd Secondary School- primary teachers, foreign language teachers, Science and Maths teachers, Art, Literature and Civil education teachers, etc. as well as Head teachers and administration. The planned courses are interdisciplinary and focused on steady development, multicultural dialogue, European citizenship, integrated language education, and are expected to generate substantial improvement of the quality of education and higher motivation which corresponds to the legislative reforms in Bulgarian Education.
The expected results of this Project are believed to receive a worm welcome from both teachers and students after sharing and applying the innovative techniques and methods in class. New methods of teaching and higher quality of education are key components in the conception of education and the preparation of a new School Education Act. This Project will provide new long term perspectives and implications to it.
