One of the key problems in Puńsk, Kalvarija and Lazdijai district municipalities is defined as weak activity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). Therefore partners developed the solution for this problem through the project promoting business environment by building necessary infrastructure, disseminating business information and organizing trainings for prosperous and potential entrepreneurs in the region. The main target group of the project were people living in the border regions (communes of Puńsk, Lazdijai, Kalvarija), especially those already conducting their own companies and planning to run own businesses. Achievements: Implementation of the project resulted in establishing the business information centre in Puńsk, renovating business information centres in Puńsk and Kalvarija, building up a common entrepreneurship development strategy and joint database presenting the business sector in the region, available on the partners websites. The project partners organised 11 events and edited 3 informational publications for business sector.
