PROJECT
FINISHED
Our aim every year is to create possibilities for our students to improve their skills in their study fields and to develop their professional and social competences by this project. We think that the vocational training abroad, as a stay in foreign language environment helps our students to formulate a positive, continual and professional thinking, to strengthen the feeling of modern eropeism, language and professional skills, and finally students have the chance to acquire new methods, techniques in their field, to try unknown, in school not taught technologies, which the firms in our region are not able to provide, since they not have sufficient modern technical, technological equipment and financial capacity.
The concrete aims of the project are:
-to improve the skills in the study field IT and telecommunications technologies, more precisely to learn about the techniques and possibilities of energy saving by using IT – green IT ((ECube Technologies, the usage of renewable energy sources)
- to improve the skills in the study field IT and telecommunications technologies, more precisely to learn about the new methods and techniques of assembly of telecommunications equipment, digital exchange of public communications networks
- to improve the skills in the study field IT and telecommunications technologies, more precisely to learn new methods and techniques in the maintenance of computer networks (new programs, software)
- to improve the skills in the study field electric engineering in transport and telecommunications, more precisely to learn new method and techniques in the maintenance of rolling stock and components of cars
- to improve the skills in the study field electric engineering in transport and telecommunications, more precisely to learn about the modernization and redesign of rolling stock within the technology of Push-pull technology
The aims listed above use the needs of the participants as their sources, which are the following:
-participants of the vocational training abroad are the best students of the schools, but they have not had any possibility so far to improve their ability to compete in the Slovak, or in the European job market
-students of our school do not have the possibility to learn about the usage of the latest technologies in their fields
-students need possibilities that improve their social engagement, in order to understand other cultures, identities, work morals and nationalities
-students need possibilities to make new contacts
In the vocational training abroad there will be 30 students from the study fields: technician of IT and telecommunication technologies and electric engineering in transport and in telecommunications. The vocational training takes place in Italy (Milan) and in Linz (Austria) and it will be three-week long. The participants of the programme are 3rd and 4th year students in their primary professional training. The number of participants is 30.The participants do not have any special needs and they do not need any special care. Their language competence is on an excellent level. They can speak English/German on the level of B1 according to CEF. Part of the students comes from a socially disadvantaged environment. The participants have a broad basis form the general subjects, form the theoretical vocational subject and also from the practical ones. They are able to carry out qualified purposeful technical work, they can act purposefully, responsibly following the regulations of society, humanism, patriotism and democracy.
By learning new technologies, new forms of work methods, by watching the relationship and attitude of employees towards work, work moral and discipline, the relationship between the employee and the firm they gain new knowledge, skills and experience for a qualified work, and they will be able to work with the latest technologies and technical equipment. Finally, the students’ own work enables them to become more independent, linguistically more perfect. The work in an international firm leads them towards tolerance with other nationalities and race, and they will have a better perspective to find a suitable job position.
