Mobility žáků ISŠA ve Francii a Velké Británii 2014
Start date: Jul 15, 2014, End date: Jul 14, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

We have been organizing student scholarship programmes at our school for many years. So far we have run scholarship programmes in France only and as a result of long-lasting highly positive experience, we have decided to organize a scholarship programme in the UK as well. Such programmes are highly popular among our students and are in their ever increasing demand as the participants of former programmes pass on their knowledge and experience acquired during their stay to other fellow students. The goal of the project is to offer the students the possibility to expand and deepen their professional and general competences and skills. Such acquisition happens during their placement in authorized garages abroad as it also allows them to get familiar with a day-to-day operation of the garages. The scholarship programmes will be held in authorized garages in Chambery, France and in London and its near surroundings in the UK in autumn of 2014. The garages closely cooperate with the partner schools. The exact dates of the trips will be announced after further detailed arrangements with the partner organizations. There will be 15 student participants taking part in the trip to the UK and 12 student participants are planned to be sent to France. The students come from the following fields of study: Car Mechanic, subject field code 23-68-H/01 Autotronic, subject field code 39-41-L/01 Vehicle Transport, school educational programme: Garage Mechanic, subject field code 23-45-M/01 Exact numbers of students for each of the subject fields cannot be stated at this point as their final selection will be held towards the end of the academic year of 2013/14. Partner schools in Chambery and London are going to arrange work placements of our students in local car garages. Furthermore, they provide lunch and dinner at the school, partial weekend programme as well as some social activities for the evenings. The participants are then able to get to know the system of professional education in these countries and establish useful friendship connections with local students. Other issues related to this fellowship programme are provided and arranged by the staff of our school. Each participant will be working independently and on his/her own under a close supervision of an experienced professional with capabilities to explain and teach and who is used to working with students. Furthermore, the partner school is providing an extra person from their staff to be fully available to assist with anything and provide any help needed during the entire stay. This person will also assist with supervising the participants at their work locations and will act as an intermediary between the students and the garages, should the need arise. He will also evaluate the ongoing process of the programme. The outcome of the project is enriching the technical, professional and language skills and potential of our students in accordance with their technical focus. It is also giving the students the opportunity to experience working environment and living without their parents´ support in a foreign country. Project benefits and impact: - To motivate towards better study results and keeping disciplinary rules - Support of recruitment of new students - Enhancing students´ interest in studying foreign languages based upon own experience - Increasing the students´ self-confidence and their ability to present themselves, which, in along-term run, leads towards upgrading their competitive potential in labour market and enhances their potential of getting a job
