The project "Mobility for a better europe" is a long-term European voluntary service activity, involving 2 volunteers from Poland that will be hosted by a youth organisation Vicolocorto in Pesaro, Italy. The volunteers will go to RO in two stages. First one between March and November 2015, and second - November 2015 till July 2016. Both of them will take part in 8 months long voluntary service. The methods used will be based on non-formal and informal learning and will be adapted to the needs and competences of each volunteer (experiential learning, peer-to-peer, group discussions, workshops, etc).
The role of the volunteers is to undertake tasks in collaboration with the local volunteers.The volunteers will undertake work that is already being carried out by volunteers,is additional to the work that is produced and cannot be carried out by permanent personnel; therefore they do not replace in any case the existing personnel or possible new job positions. The Vicolocorto will organise the activities on the basis of the real needs and expectations of the EVS volunteer.
About the role, the volunteer will be able to participate actively in the association activities according to her needs and interests nevertheless previous experiences, competences and skills as the main aim is the volunteer personal development.
The volunteers could help by organizing conferences, seminars, discussions, thematic evenings, campaigns, research, workshops, etc. The volunteer will be encouraged to make also her /his own projects during their stay in Italy. The idea to invite volunteer in Vicolocorto association giving him/her the opportunity to contribute on that new strategy aimed to personal development of local youngster and social inclusion will bring an added value to the whole strategy thanks to the peer to peer approach and in the same time it will give an important learning opportunity to the volunteer that can contribute with her ideas and proposals.
Main aim of the service of the volunteer will be the support of the development of new local initiatives with local youngsters (during festivals, events, cultural center activities and coaching activities) through peer to peer approach that will stimulate the involvement of the youngster in the NGO’s activities and finding a new way of communicate and interact with local youngsters using creativity and non formal education. Moreover the volunteer can help in local initiatives and spreading the information among youth through peer to peer education using her own creativity.

This project is expected to have a great impact on both the young volunteers as well as the young people from the local community they will be working with, as it will allow them to develop skills and competences that will lead to their personal and professional development, making them more self-assured and giving them a competitive advantage in the labour market.
