PROJECT
FINISHED
The "Mobilités professionnelles en Europe" (European professional mobility) project has been proposed by a consortium consisting of FORMAVIE GIP, GIP "Formation continue et insertion professionnelle” (Training and professional integration) of the Academy of Montpellier, and five of the six academy GRETAs (GRETA Montpellier Littoral, GRETA du Gard, GRETA Pyrenees orientales, GRETA Hérault ouest and GRETA de l'Aude). It proposes to allow XX participants to do a practical internship in a European country. These participants are undergoing professional training in one of five GRETA consortium members; currently living in the Languedoc Roussillon ex-region, an area hard hit by unemployment, and very dedicated to tourism. Participants are asked to gain practical experience in the European labor market and / or reception of foreign customers. The participants will be in qualifying training courses pre-baccalauréat (V) or baccalauréat (IV) levels, in preparation courses for international mobility funded by the Regional Council, or in business oriented language training (tourism, hotels, trade, catering or Information Technologies) funded by the National Employment Agency. The consortium will work with intermediary organizations in host countries to accompany participants and improve their chances to succeed in their mobility program. Different sectors are targeted, depending on the participants’ projects, insofar as the host companies are also open to European exchanges. This approach aims to boost participants in developing their career plans and provide them with additional assets for access to employment. It also aims to reinforce the GRETA in building an attractive training program adapted to the labor market and in line with the guidelines of the Regional Council and the National Employment Agency, the main public sponsors of continuing education. In the longer term, the project aims to capitalize on the experience by recognizing its value and by using the practice of European mobility an partnership in a growing number of GIP FORMAVIE and GRETA programs throughout the academy of Montpellier, and can eventually beyond the academy since the merging of French regions should have an impact on the geographic boundaries of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.
