Between September 2016 and August 2017, Liceul Tehnologic Petrol Moreni, Romania aims to unfold the mobility project in the field of professional training with the title " The Transnational Mobility of the High School Students from Liceul Tehnologic Petrol Moreni for Professional Training in the Field of Environmental Protection" which provides the students from the classes with the profile of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection the opportunity to participate in practice internship stages in another EU country. The analyses of our students’ training needs have revealed that the most disadvantaged ones are the students from the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection profile, due to the lack of companies in Moreni’s area that should operate in the domain of environmental protection, and thus our students do not have a specialized company where they should do their practice training. Based on these reasons, the main project objectives have been outlined: obtaining relevant practice work experience through the training of 14 students from the Natural Resources for a period of two weeks in practice internship stages in England; increasing from 50% to at least 75% the number of graduates who enroll in the exam for the qualification certification technicians in Ecology and Environmental protection; decreasing with 50% the number of students from in Natural Resources and Environmental Protection profile who would drop the upper secondary school level; increasing with 25%, in the next 3 years, the level of employment in the domain of natural resources and environmental protection. The target group will be made up of 14 students from the classes IX, X and XI from the Technological branch, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection profile, qualification as an technicians in Ecology and Environmental protection, students who have not previously taken part in internship practice stages abroad and who on the date of departure for the mobility - June 2017, they will have not turned 18 years old. These students have enough theoretical knowledge for their specialization and good English knowledge, ranked as at least A2 level, according to CAE.The stage of practice internship will be unfolded in a period of two weeks, between June 12th and June 23rd 2017, the English partner being - City College Plymouth-England, an institution with a rich experience in providing educational services and professional training; it will consist of specific activities which are according to the national curriculum and to the participants’ level of study. The content of the activities which will be carried out throughout the mobility period has already been negotiated and established at the partnership level and it is present in the learning agreements. The main activities through which the participants will gain the competences which are stated in the professional training standards are: knowledge of the main sources that pollute the environment, of the criteria for ranking and identifying pollutants, of the sampling, analysis and dosage of the environment pollutants, completing the sampling and analyzing bulletins, researching into and finding solutions that combat the pollution of ecosystems. The practice internship will be validated through the issuing of the Europass Mobility Certificate and it will be acknowledged through the grades that the students will get at the Modules of practice training when they return in Romania. The project impact will be reflected in the fact that it will bring an added value to the participants’ personal and professional development, it will contribute to the improvement of the skills and abilities which are required for the qualification of Ecological technician and of the protection of environmental quality, and also to the development of new ones, through the accomplishment of work tasks which are carried out in almost similar conditions to the ones existent in a real job.The immediate results which are visible and measurable will consist of diminishing the number of students from the lower- secondary school who renounce to continue their studies and enroll the upper- secondary school, as well as of increasing the number of graduates who register for the exam of certification for the qualification in level 4.The students who participate in mobility will obtain more adeptness, skills in applying the techniques and in carrying out the operations which are specific to the job for which they are training. They will become more self-confident, more independent and mature, they will be more confident in their own abilities and they will be more successful in finding a job which lives up to their expectations, they will improve their linguistic and cultural skills. The project sustainability is given by the continuity of the cooperation with the English partner through designing and making new projects of partnership, KA1 and KA2, both in the field of school education and VET.
