MOBILITALIA. In Italia per acquisire nuove competenze.
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

CONTEXT, BACKGROUND AND GOALS Periodically, diverse workshops, seminars and labs are organized by AETA. These activities are free of charge and the target group consists in adults from Bailesti and surroundings. Beyond the skills on the training field, “AETA” wishes to be part within the European scenario of the learning and operational activities building its own network of international partners in other European countries. Within that scope, the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ are of great interest and fit perfectly the demands and needs of AETA. With the present project it will be possible to acquire new competencies. Other important goals are those, for both partners in the project, of: - To increase the awareness of European citizenship and the values and opportunities made available by the European Union - Enhancing language skills and communication skills in a foreign language - Increase the predisposition to intercultural dialogue and the decrease of prejudice. ACTIVITIES, METHODS, PARTICIPANTS The Staff Training activity will be divided into two workshops where 10 professionals from AETA will participate: Italian Language Course and Family Assistant. The role of AETA for both workshops will be: - Select the Romanian Participants, - Planning and scheduling of the activities, - Validation and evaluation of the results. The role of ARTEMIDE for both workshops will be: - Provide teaching staff, - Provide contents and methodologies, - Give access to and manage resources, - Issue certification of skills acquired - Scheduling and planning - Evaluation of the results - Report to partner. RESULTS AND IMPACT The participants will acquire language skills both through the Italian Course and by participating on the activities of Artemide. The staff responsible for the projecting and management will enhance their ability to relate and communicate with foreign partners and also improve their management and projecting skills both at technical and didactic levels. The trainers that will participate in Artemide’s workshops will have access to new instruments, methodologies and didactic practices. Those in charge of interventions towards the category of disadvantaged groups will have new and important insights to their own activity. Once back in Romania it will be in fact possible to structure Family Assistant Workshops for the local community. Other important outcomes are foreseeable for any of the participants in the project. In the first place, an increased awareness of European citizenship and of the values and the opportunities made available by the European Union. By operating within an environment where languages such as Romanian, Italian and English will be used, the linguistic and communication skills in foreign languages will also be improved and will represent a great benefit for participants of both organizations. As a result, the project will serve to enhance the predisposition for intercultural dialogue and a decrease of pre-established prejudices. It is important to highlight that in Italy the perception towards Romanian communities is filled with preconceived ideas and prejudices. To actually get in touch with the professionalism and practices of trainers that belong to a country with such history, culture and traditions will represent an important tool to raise the relationship between these two cultures that share ancient common roots. The main effects on the participants are related to their own skills, linguistic competences and to the enrichment of know-how on projecting and didactic practices. These new skills will allow for the development of new workshops and/or to a better management of the resources. Regarding the linguistic aspects, it is expected an improvement in the communication and relation with foreign partners. For AETA the project will have great impact on many levels. One of those is, undoubtedly, the increased potential on an educational level. At the end of this project AETA will be able to organize Family Assistant Workshops for their local communities and on a long term develop specific programs in this same field (Socio-healthcare workers, operator of community, cultural mediator etc ...) Diversification of the educational activity will allow for greater visibility of both organizations in their own regions, for interested individuals and other institutions. Similarly, it is expected that AETA is called by local authorities in order to be part of decision-making and strategy planning in educational policies of the territory in meetings taking place twice a month.
