PROJECT
FINISHED
This project expects the participation of 26 students of the coming 2nd and 3rd grade of the School of Catering and the Vocational School of Crafts (cook-waiter, pastry cook, serviceman of agricultural machines) for a month professional internship (August/September 2016) in hotels and on farms in the Austrian southern Carinthia. The receiving partner Bildungsberatung and Vermittlungsagentur in Osterreich (BVO), represented by Mrs. Aldona Biedermann, is known at our school from the cooperation within the Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ projects. The aim of the project is to connect the sphere of professional education with the world of work in German speaking environment, versatile reinforcement of the key competences and professional qualification of interns, their introduction to the Austrain culture, environment and its working ethic, and reinforcement of language knowledge of German language as well. In accordance with the National system of qualifications of the Czech Republic, the European Qualification Frame (EQF) and the European system ECVET, the participants strive for self-development in the process of formal and informal learning. They do this in individual preparations, during their working stay in Austria and even during spreading results of the project. Another entity, which we want to cooperate with (The education agency Gastro Promotion), places the participants of the internships to the hotels of area of cities Cervie and Rimini. The quality of the whole project is guaranteed with a certificate, evaluation of the progress in the area of ECVET (reinforcement of qualification in the branch) and with obtaining the Europass mobility in both Czech and German or Italian languages. We can see a potentional long-term asset in several levels. The presentation of the internship of the participants (including the practical demonstrations concerning gastronomy) to the students of our school, their parents, non- professional and professional visitors of our school, representatives of Velké Meziříčí and the Vysočina region during the Open Day and the professional Gastroday increases the school credit, as well as the credit of the Vysočina region and the whole Czech Republic in both the national and international context. The presentation of the results takes place through media (school websites, websites of the town Velké Meziříčí, printed and electronic newspapars) as well. Another contribution is the motivation of the interns to participate in other long-term internships in German-speaking, English-speaking, Italian-speaking or French-speaking countries. The motivation of younger students to take part in the similar project is taken for granted. The interns promote their internship as a part of their final written project and the oral defence in front of the maturita committee. The participation in the internship within the project in the programme Erasmus+ or within the continuous internship opens the door for the future graduates to the labour market in any European or non-European coutries. Due to that the motivation for lifelong learning is significantly strengthened.
