MINFEducation ( Motivating Inclusive Non- Failure Education )

To understand the MINFEducation purpose, it´s necessary to know our school reality. Our centre can be found in the Madrid district of Vallecas since 1962, comprising of 1065 students, mainly coming from middle and working class families. The neigbourhood has the lowest salary band in Madrid, and with the largest number of women and young people unemployed. There also exists a small proportion of the community that are illiterate, which fortunately is being reduced. Among our students we stillfind some who are at great risk of abandoning their studies, becasuse their home environment is not motivating. For this reason our mision is to guarantee every student the same oppotunities and preparation for their integration in society. Through MINFEducation ( Motivating Inclusive Non- Failure Education) we´ve wanted to achieve the following objectives: - Acquire new strategies of teaching relacioned with the theory of multiple intelligence, its purpose being the attention focused on diversity of opportunities of our students. - Promote the educational inovation in our clases, to improve the level of satisfaction and motivation in our students and in this way reduce the elevated number of school failures existing in Vallecas. To get this proyect under way we choose the Ulleval Skolen Centre in Oslo, a well known reference regarding educational innovation and support for special needs students, and for the full array of inclusive responses to cultural diversity. Previous to the visit we signed the agreements of learning, and also we planed in great detail the visit to the centre (job shadowing). BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME AND POST PROJECT EXPECTATIONS. European awareness has been a benefit as a result of the exchange of different educational and social perspectives. Students have been benefited the most, since the implementation of the project will affect the objectives related to their failure and dropout rate. The indicators of the objectives will be concentrated in the Europass, and will be revised by the assigned tutor in the Ulleval Centre. The progress of the project were published on our web-site, apart from being our line of communication with students and families in the centre, it is, in turn, our way that the rest of Spain and the worl know us. Besides our school magazine published a report about this project, which was another way through, all the educational community, was informed. Twitter was a very relevant mean of communication, the same as Mobility Tool+ that has permited us to spread the several project achivements.
