Millenium Classrooms in the Lifelong Learning
Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project will be in partnership with Italy, Malta and Turkey. Within the scope of this project, 11 trainers working within Bartın University Continuing Education and Research Center will be going to Rome and Malta for 5 days each in 2015 to attend "Flipped Classroom in the Lifelong Learning" and "Empowerment in ICT skills - Making Use of Technology Tools" Training Programmes. The emergence of Information Age created a knowledge-based society surrounded by and interacting continuously with information and communication technologies. In this new age students are no longer the people traditional educational systems were designed to teach. Therefore, we aim to attend this training in order to make student/teacher relationships more effective in teaching via the use of laboratory and experimental activities. At the end of this training, our trainers will improve their e-skills (i.e video making and development, using social networks for e-learning), adopt cooperative learning practices, prepare educational games, assimilate a culture sensitive to the value of non-formal and informal learning, as a valid alternative for learners less interested in the academic world, as well as at-risk groups and acquire the tools to stimulate creativity and innovation through the learning of new knowledge.
