The young Pole Rural Families of the association has been working for several years in youth coaching project based on the observation that we have from their desires, their culture, their project to be able to carry them out. We also offer them in parallel the possibility of investing in European projects, international view. These European exchanges aim in particular to enable them to establish social ties in another culture, develop their openness and may cause them to take initiatives. It also seems imperative to develop their mobility to provide the best support their socio-professional integration.
Thus, working with the Gipsy Eye association, the young Pole wished to support its action on Roma inclusion. This exchange enabled young French and Romanian young people to learn about Roma culture. A different view was placed on the Roma population through the activities implemented
Participants in this exchange were young and leaders of these institutions, young people of the village of Sodoméni, and volunteers from the association Gipsy Eye. The group consisted of 24 people, girls and boys, French, and Romanian Roma, 4 supervisors and 20 youth.
For the realization of this project, a preparatory visit was set up in February 2015. It was the conclusion of an important phase of preparation of some weeks with youth and leaders . The aim was thus to create a group dynamic around this project while working administrative preparation, health, cultural and research funding. In the holiday took place in February the project.
The program, open to the country, culture and customs of Roma: they went to meet the local people, have traded in their lives, and made all the visits of cultural and historical sites of the region. Impregnated with these discoveries, they have lots traded on prejudice and they have representation everyone to have a reality of what they are, what they represent, what they want to be. A common tool: a fresco (wall collage) wall was done to better promote the exchanges and debates.
The group was hosted in the house of the association. The meals were made on the spot by young people with a stove of the association.
