Start date: Jan 8, 2015, End date: Sep 7, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

“Mi voluntariado Europeo 2015 con personas discapacitadas” is an initiative of FEPAMIC which is the continuance, within the new ERASMUS+ frame of programmes, from the voluntary services successfully carried out in last years. These voluntary services aim to encourage and strengthen acquisition for youngsters of non formal competences, propitiate knowledge among all countries which participate in this project, as well as foster communication and relations between disabled and non-disabled persons as part of our vision of an Inclusive Society. This EVS will last for 9 months as it is the minimum time need for volunteers to acquire the necessary skills to develop an effective performance with our special needs users. “Mi voluntariado Europeo 2015 con personas discapacitadas” pursues the positive line of quality given by its 2011 “brother” called "Mi voluntariado con personas con discapacidad" which got to be rewarded as the best international voluntary services project by the Andalusia Regional Government. In this new edition, we seek to improve year after year by analyzing and strengthening the achievements got formerly for volunteers, staff and organizations. We consider 3 volunteers to be part of our EVS for next year. All of them are highly motivated and eager to start their voluntary service with us One of them is Léa Soulisse who is 23 years old and owns a Master’s degree IPHD: Integration of the Disabled People and person in difficulties as well as a Bachelor’s degree STAPS: Sciences and Technics in physical and sports activities specialization in Adapted Physical activities. Furthermore, she has an important experience dealing with disabled persons. So her profile fits very well our activities as well as our professional’s staff. On the other hand, we count on Zuzanna Lewandoska who is 24 years old and owns a Master’s degree in Psycology. Precisely, we have had a psychologist as a European volunteer this year with us. Her collaboration and support on workshops and care to our user have been very positive. So, to be able to count on a psychologist again is very beneficial for our users and organization. Finally, our third volunteer is named Vanda Elvia Speranska and she is 23 years old. This volunteer speaks 5 languages, so she has an important skill to learn new languages, and owns a Saint Petersburg State University Cinema and TV Honours Degree. This person showed a extremely high motivation to participate in this EVS with us. Her studies and expertise to organize events and shows will be very helpful to improve and implement workshops with our users and staff. There are many activities to develop with our users because it is very interesting for us to get the opportunity to have a person able to take full advantage of our Events-Conference Room, Facilities, Audiovisual Media Services and organize different group actions. The project aims are to provide a non formal learning opportunity to young people from foreign countries as well as to open the hosting organization to new ideas and new ways for working. Another aim is to promote links between people with and without disabilities. FEPAMIC, as hosting organization is an organization whose mission is to provide, between others, services for everyday life to disabled people. These services include a residence and a day unit centre, both for disabled people. Into these services exist different workshops to improve the conditions of living of disabled people (speech, basic learning, physiotherapy, occupational therapy …). The volunteers will be involved in the different workshops and will contribute, always under the supervision of one tutor, on its development. pain, France, Poland and Latvia are the partners of the project. The volunteers will spend a nine months service because we consider this as the minimum time to acquire the required skills for working with disabled people. During this time the volunteers will be integrated into the different teams and will get a clear training opportunity which will be a valuable input in the volunteer’s future. We will give diffusion to this project by communicating it to our 34 associations, to other local, national and international entities as well as it will be published in our website.
