The project "Mi mundo en tus ojos - My world in your eyes" has as its main activity, a youth meeting with 15 participants each from Germany and Spain. The participants are 14 to 17 years old and come mostly from families with fewer opportunities and greater challenges. This project allows youth an experience abroad who previously had no access to such experiences.The youth meeting was developed with the young participants from Germany, within the context of the "international youth work meets school - WWW we away" project. The teenagers met after school over the period of one year with the two "coaches International" that will accompany the meeting too. They worked on different themes with action-oriented methods. The variety of the program items also reflects this process. Thus part of the program are for example, an intercultural picnic, a workshop in a Makerspace in Barcelona and a street art workshop but also a dance and sports day. In environmental issues the participants were particulary interested. Hence they can be found among others in the workshop on fashion consumption and in Makerspace workshop.During the meeting, participants will deepen their interests and develop their skills. Smaller units are led by the participants themselfs. The activity will be documented by the participants a blog and a YouTube channel. Thus the participants will strengthen their presentation skills, their group management abilities, theri public relations and media technology skills. In addition, all participants will improve their intercultural competencies.Important for sustainability is that the participants have the opportunity to make friends. Importantant for an corresponding atmosphere are especially the acquaintance units in the first two days. But the workshops in German-Spanish small mixed groups will also enhance the development of friendly contacts. We hope that the particiapants stay in touch after the encounter and are als interested in participating in the future in other extracurricular projects. The partner organizations in Germany and KINDERVEREINIGUNG Leipzig and Asociacion Munuds hope that the partnerships can be continued in the future.
