In the context of continuous change and repetitive ruptures that young people are forced to face today in Romania and Bulgaria due to the economic crisis, the high level of unemployment and the poor offer of jobs where to use their competences and creative abilities, the project “Mesteri de lumi noi” (“Handcraftsmen of new worlds”) answers the needs of young people from the two partner countries: the need for professional and personal development, the need to manifest their originality and creativity, to improve or acquire new competences and abilities in order to help them raise their chances to work, to develop the entrepreneurial spirit so they can have a decent and comfortable life. “Mesteri de lumi noi” (“Handcraftsmen of new worlds”) is a bilateral mobility project between Romania and Bulgaria. The project shall be implemented by two partner organizations: CAROUSEL PROJECT Association and Narodno Citaliste “Nadeja 1871” Association and it will be carried out between July 15, 2014 and March 15, 2015. The aim of this project is to exploit the creative and entrepreneurial potential of young Romanians and Bulgarians through active implication in the artistic, social and cultural life of their community and in the improvement of life quality, creating and re-creating their close universe, the environment they live in and generating alternatives to the financial lacks and unemployment. Objectives - encouraging and promoting 30 young creative and talented Romanians and Bulgarians, through restoration workshops and transformation acts of the environment they live in (furniture, glass and ceramics painting, bookbindery, decorative objects and puppets). - learning new skills and technical abilities which can improve the lives of 30 young Romanians and Bulgarians, opening new perspectives for professional development. - developing the entrepreneurial spirit, communication and negotiation abilities, team spirit, artistic and organizing skills of Romanian young people and Bulgarian partners. - developing the entrepreneurial spirit and fight the unemployment amongst the young people from Craiova and Oreahovo by creating opportunities to start a business or find a job. Activities - Organizing groups of Romanian and Bulgarian young people - Visit preparation in advance - Organizing the mobility - Project launch - Mobility - Writing the evaluation report of the project - Results dissemination The project is set to be developed between July 15, 2014 and March 15, 2015. 32 young people will get involved in its implementation (15 Romanians and 15 Bulgarians and two group leaders – one Romanian and one Bulgarian). The methods used in the project have been selected in compliance with the activities: brainstorming, energizing and interrelation games, play role, case study, interviews, debates, focus-group, self-analysis, analysis, open space, public cafe, improvising techniques, ice breaking exercises etc. They will contribute to the efficiency of the learning process. The methods will imply the participative approach, all participants assuming an active role in the project. The young Romanians and Bulgarians will develop competences and abilities such as: -  communication at personal, group and institutional level; -  Team work; -  negotiation; -  tolerance and mutual respect -  public speaking -  organizing and management (of human and material resources, financial, time and conflict management) The 30 young people will improve themselves both personally and socially. The working methods will help them learn to work in a team/ group, to communicate in an efficient way, to accept the differences and the fact that we are all equal, to become promoters of cultural and artistic products as well as events developers. After this mobility, the young Romanians and Bulgarians will become more open towards the cultural diversity issues, they will acquire competences and improve abilities, they will be more confident and become creators of artistic products; they will also prove tolerance, respect, initiative. The young participants will know how to promote national and European values, they will get involved in identification and promoting cultural values, supporting volunteering; they will encourage others to use non-formal methods and tools and increase their chances to integrate and find a place on the labour market.
